How do you frame it?

I hold a strong belief that in art a frame can be many things, it provides setting to a piece. It elevates what is already present, and establishes it within a space. Frames can be signifiers of time, shrines, or personifications of the individual.

In the wood shop, I am exploring these realms, extending past the simple use of displaying work and exploring what it means to create sentimental value through the laborious hand-made acts of carving, etching, and cutting these hardy materials.
